The Smartprint Group was born from two well-established businesses ProPrint Designs and Artsmart Screenprinting.

ProPrint Designs was established in 1996 as a home-based Graphic Design business that offered a print brokerage service to its customers, due to its focus on customer service it quickly out-grew its home base and moved to larger premises and now employed more staff than just the owner.

As the business grew so did the range of products and services we offered, many customers simply turn to Pro Print Designs to source any item or service they required. It was up to us to find them - and we did.

Over many years of sourcing different requirements for our customers, a unique relationship was developing with one of our suppliers -Artsmart Screenprinting.

Established in 1972, Artsmart Screenprinting already had the runs on the board.
While it had a couple of owners in that time, the business had grown to be quickly recognised for service and quality of the end product it produced.

As the businesses traded more frequently, it seemed logical to become one and deliver to our combined customers the "one-stop-shop" for all their design, print and promotional needs and stills rings true today.

So, they came together under one roof in 2003 but still as their own identities, with Artsmart Screenprinting operating from downstairs and ProPrint Designs trading upstairs at our present Robertson Street location. Even though the businesses have traded like this for more than 4 years, many customers weren't aware of the products and services each business offered and were not taking full advantage of the "one-stop-shop" philosophy.

The next logical progression was to simplify our name, making it easier for our customers to understand and appreciate the full range of services and products we offer.

While it appears that nothing but the name has changed, we are continually striving behind the scenes to deliver new and interesting products and services as they become available.
